Super Star, yes that’s his legal name, was once a former owner/president of a successful, cutting-edge computer consulting firm who lost it all to a 15 year drug addiction. Today, he is a sought after motivational speaker, recording artist, an author, life coach for teens and columnist. Super Star now embraces recovery and has subsequently rebuilt a life of purpose and commitment geared toward anti-substance use campaigning – educating others about prevention and the disease of addiction. Super Star legally changed his name so that people would remember his message and guess what? It’s working!

Super Star’s goal is to engage others in vital conversations about the impact of those things that hold people back from realizing their dreams including substance use disorder. Super Star wants people to know you don’t need to party or use drugs to be a “star”. His message is about inspiring others to see that there is a light out of the darkness; that there is HOPE. His philosophy instills that everyone deserves access to tools that inspire them to be the best they can be and to realize their dreams. Super Star is committed to conveying this message to the public and especially to America’s youth!

Super Star’s journey led him to develop the ROCKSTAR SUPERSTAR PROJECT, a band that has now evolved into a National club based program for teens. Super Star overcame obstacles with a creative boldness to invent the life he was born to live and also penned the critically acclaimed book, The First 30 Days to Serenity which has received accolades from professionals in the field of addiction. Alongside his twin brother, Super Star co-created Serenity, a CD featuring a host of world renowned artists including current and former members of the bands Kiss, Heart, The Goo Goo Dolls, Dokken, and Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Finally, Super Star is the creator of the Rockin Recovery Tour, a yearly touring entity traveling in support of National Recovery Month. Super Star and his crew take their music out on the road using it as a vehicle to spread the hope found in recovery from substance abuse.

The journey into recovery has led Super Star to find his passion within. He has made the courageous leap to relentlessly pursue his vision and make it a reality. He found the resilience to bounce back and the persistence to keep pressing forward when doors kept closing in front of him. When no record label would support his Serenity efforts, he took it upon himself to learn the industry and was successful in getting Serenity on the shelves of Hot Topic. When no publishing house expressed an interest in his book, he published it himself in hardcopy and digital formats. The First 30 Days to Serenity is now available through online retailers such as and is also available at Barnes & Noble as well as academic institutions across the country.

Super Star has seen the success from his hard work and perseverance come to fruition in many forms. From his work creating the ROCKSTAR SUPERSTAR PROJECT, his celebrity endorsed We Are One 1-4-1 program and his involvement with teen mentorship programs across the country; there is no doubt the sky isn’t the limit for someone like Super Star.
