Robert Weitz is Chief of Operations and Principal of RTK Environmental Group, LLC. He is a licensed Lead Inspector Risk Assessor in New York and Connecticut, and holds the Certified Microbial Investigator accreditation from the American Council for Accredited Certification.

Weitz is the founder of RTK Environmental Group, and is responsible for the company’s growth during its nearly 20 years in business. Headquartered in Stamford, Connecticut, and with offices in New York, New Jersey, Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia, RTK Environmental Group leads the field of environmental testing and consulting in mold, lead, asbestos, water, soil, radon and indoor air quality testing. Because RTK is independent and only conducts environmental testing and not remediation, there is no conflict of interest, and there is no incentive to magnify the problem to increase profits through remediation services.

Prior to his career with RTK Environmental Group, Weitz was an accomplished building contractor. His firsthand experience with what happens to a structure when it is not maintained regularly, thus leading to expensive repairs, influences how RTK does business. “Creating a team of inspectors with backgrounds in building and contracting enhances RTK’s ability to understand how a structure works and where environmental problems may lurk. This puts RTK in a category above the rest,” Weitz says.
