Dr. Marcy Rose received her Bachelor of Science degree in Organizational Communications from Ohio University in 1980. She then attended The Ohio State University College of Optometry, where she received her Doctorate in Optometry in 1984. Dr. Rose has been practicing optometry in the Westminster area for twenty eight years. Dr. Rose is a Fellow in the College of Optometrists in Vision Development. This fellowship board certifies her as a specialist in providing comprehensive vision care, including treatment through vision therapy. She evaluates and treats patients, including those with brain injury, neurological disorders, visual related learning problems, perceptual problems, crossed/lazy eyes, Autism, and developmental delays. Dr. Rose also evaluates and treats many eye diseases such as infections, glaucoma, ocular emergencies, cataracts, and retinal disease. She works closely with medical specialists in many of these areas so that she can refer when necessary, or co-manage the cases such that her patients get the highest level of care. Glasses, contact lenses, prisms, and/or vision therapy may be utilized in vision treatment. Dr. Rose is published in an international peer reviewed journal on the treatment of vision problems in the Autism Spectrum population.
