Kristen fell in love with movement at a young age and pursued dance, gymnastics and cheerleading through college. She also developed an early interest in staying healthy after her father underwent a triple bypass at age 38. With a BA in Psychology, and a MA in Industrial Relations, Kristen spent the first 15 years of her career in Human Resources and Leadership Development. With a desire to keep her love for fitness and dance alive, she became a certified Jazzercise franchise owner in 1990 and began sharing her passion for dance and fitness with customers of all ages. During this time she juggled graduate school with her part time fitness career and her full time corporate responsibilities, along with plenty of business travel which helped to satisfy her travel bug of exploring new cities and countries.

In 2002 following a corporate layoff, she decided to become a full time entrepreneur and opened the Jazzercise Fitness Center of Stamford, CT which consistently ranks in the top five in New England and in the top 50 world wide.

She has been certified as a group fitness instructor through the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, a Personal Trainer through the American Council on Exercise, a Level I YogaFit instructor and a Reiki Practitioner (ART). Kristen expanded her brand through the launch of InterPlay Health to bring a multi-dimensional approach to her business by incorporating nutrition and other wellness products and services. Through InterPlay Health, she facilitates the Transitions Lifestyle System®, a comprehensive lifestyle system designed to help participants achieve weight loss goals and improve health, and offers a complete line of health and wellness supplements.

Kristen balances her roles as an entrepreneur, fitness instructor, blogger, yogi, golfer and avid reader with her favorite roles as wife to husband Rich, stepmother to Megan and doting Aunt to Landon and Chase.

You can find her cooking while enjoying a glass of wine, rollerblading at the beach or taking a bath with lots of bubbles. Kristen is committed to inspiring women to a life of balance health and fun.

She is the host of A Matter of Balance: A Woman’s Quest for Health, Harmony, & Kick Ass Heels and can be heard weekdays at 3 pm.
