Kelly G. Richardson is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Richardson Harman Ober PC, a full-service law firm specializing in community association law, real estate, business and construction litigation, financial institution, and labor and employment law. In practice since 1983, Mr. Richardson is a veteran business trial lawyer who has established himself as a true leader in the field of homeowners association and real estate law.

Mr. Richardson serves as legal counsel for several Southern California area Associations of Realtors® and is a member of the Legal Affairs Forum and Housing Committee of the California Association of Realtors® (CAR). He is currently a Vice Chair of its Investment Housing Committee. He is a faculty member and contributing author for the Professional Realty Institute, teaching GRI coursework on risk management, construction and development issues to hundreds of Realtors® annually. He is a popular lecturer to Associations of Realtors®, professional real estate organizations and major brokerages on topics ranging from disclosure, construction defects and conflict resolution to cutting-edge technology-based topics, such as legal issues pertaining to social networking, email and websites.

Mr. Richardson is a leading advocate for the Community Associations Institute (CAI) and is currently serving as National Trustee for a second consecutive term. As an active member, he served on the Greater Los Angeles Chapter Board for more than six years and was its 2004 Chapter President. He was also the recipient of CAI’s 2004 National “Rising Star” award. He is presently a member of the Board of its Orange County Chapter.

He is the author of HOA Homefront™, a syndicated weekly column that educates the public on issues pertaining to California residents living in common interest developments, their Board of Directors and property managers which is published in several newspapers throughout Southern California.

Mr. Richardson is licensed to practice before all California state and local federal jurisdictions, and is a member of the Real Estate Section of the State Bar, Los Angeles County and Pasadena Bar Associations and the Association of Business Trial Lawyers.

Mr. Richardson obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Southern California, and his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of California, Riverside.
