Katherine Perez Enriquez is a graduate from the UCLA School of Law and currently is a University Fellow and doctoral student in Disability Studies at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC). UIC’s PhD program in Disability Studies is the first program of its kind in the USA and one of only a few in the world. Katherine’s areas of focus are disability law, disability legal history, and developmental and intellectual disabilities. She works as a legal research assistant on the systematic review of the Americans with Disabilities Act and as the Editorial Assistant of the Journal on Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. She is also a member of the Sibling Leadership Network’s Communications Committee.
