Dr. Frances Emelia Sam received her doctor of dental surgery degree from Howard University College of Dentistry in Washington, DC . She then went on to complete a residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Upon graduation, she balanced private practice with part-time academia for a few years before entering academia full-time as an Assistant Professor in the department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

Dr. Sam currently holds the position of Director of Educational Programs at S&R Dental Solutions. She is a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Honor Society and a Member of the National Speakers Association. In addition, she is a published author and speaker in the realm of personal development.
